José María González Romero

J.M González holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Sevilla (2022). He obtained a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2023. He started his research career at Barcelona Supercomputing Center with an internship in EAPM group led by Dr. Víctor Guallar, where he developed AI methods for predicting solubility and expression in proteins. He later continued as a Junior Research Engineer within the European project ROBUSTOO, HORIZON-CL6-2023-CIRCBIO-01-101135119, where he applied in silico techniques to engineer enzymes towards specific thermal and pH profiles. He recently joined the Systems Biotechnology group to begin his PhD studies with a contract associated to the program Atracción de Talento (Comunidad de Madrid).
