13-17 September 2026: Extremophiles2026
This 15th edition of the International Congress on Extremophiles took place at Yonsei University (Seoul, Republic of Korea), and we have been there! José María González, accompanied by the members of the SysBio group Paula Vidal, Claudia Guerrero, and Laura Fernandez participated with a flash talk and a posters.
It was a week spent delving into cutting-edge research on life’s adaptation and its applications in biotechnology, extremozymes, and sustainable bioeconomy. Moreover, it was a great opportunity to explore the fascinating city of Seoul. This congress will remain a cherished memory for us.

Our IP Manuel Ferrer talked with Ángel Rodríguez Lozano about our recently published article “Computationally guided genome rewiring of Escherichia coli and its application for nanopolyethylene terephthalate (PET) biodegradation and upcycling”. This work represents an amazing collaboration among multidisciplinary groups. You can listen to the interview in any of the links in the button below, or read the article itself here.
